Description: SystemMonitor control allows one to monitor system-wide changes on the host machine. This version can monitor and notifies the application whenever any of the listed events happen. It generates OnChange event when any of the following events occur:
  • Created a file
  • Renamed an item in a folder
  • Changed the properties of a printer or file
  • Changed a file’s attributes
  • Deleted a file
  • Created a new folder
  • Renamed a folder
  • Updated the contents of a folder
  • Removed a folder
  • Changed a file type association
  • Added a network drive
  • Added a network drive by way of a graphic user interface
  • Removed a network drive
  • Added removable media, such as a CD-ROM
  • Removed a removable medium, such as a CD-ROM
  • Shared a resource on the network
  • Stopped sharing a resource
  • Disconnected a network server
  • Changed an image in the system global image list
The application is informed of the event as well as the full path of the affected item. For files and folders, SystemMonitor can monitor an entire folder hierarchy. In case of file and folder rename events, it gives the old and new item names.

The demonstration version, included with this package, monitors Desktop folder only. The complete retail version does not have this limitation.
